Submission Checklist

Before submitting, confirm that:

• The work fits the journal’s scope and is not under consideration elsewhere.
• Every author has approved the manuscript and the author order.
• A separate identified title page and an anonymised manuscript are included.
• The abstract, keywords, figures, tables and citations are complete and checked.
• Legal authorities, quotations and factual statements have been verified.
• Permissions have been obtained for third-party material where necessary.
• Relevant preprints, theses, conference versions and overlapping work are disclosed.
• Funding, competing interests, contributions, ethics, data availability and AI-use statements are provided as applicable.
• No privileged, sealed or unnecessarily identifiable information has been included.
• The authors understand the peer-review, fee, copyright and licensing policies.

For a revision, include a response to each editorial and reviewer point. Explain respectfully where a suggestion has not been followed.
