Archiving and Preservation

The JLGRS online archive provides access to material made available through the journal’s digital platform. The programme introduced in 2026 includes the digitisation of earlier print publications.

A digital archive on the journal website is distinct from independent long-term preservation. Participation in an external preservation service will be announced only after an arrangement is active and can be verified.

Archive records

Each digitised item should carry the original print citation, an accurate online availability or digitisation date, a rights statement and any relevant editorial note. Scanned text and extracted metadata are checked against the source. Missing pages, uncertain dates or incomplete copies must be identified rather than reconstructed without evidence.

Author deposits

Authors may deposit versions they are entitled to share in institutional or subject repositories, identifying the version and linking to the journal record. The accepted manuscript and version of record may be deposited without an embargo where their applicable rights permit it.

The publisher is responsible for arranging backups and a continuity plan for journal files and records. The specific backup and independent preservation arrangements will be described when confirmed. Readers may report missing or unreadable archive files to the editorial office.
